[Drop-in] The Realization Process - Embodied Meditation Class

  • Heights Yoga & Wellness 4701 Hastings street Burnaby, BC Canada (map)

Join us for this in-person body-centered meditation class based on The Realization Process — a method of embodied spiritual awakening!

The Realization Process, a series of gentle but precise interoceptive movements and attunements for realizing your own nature as unitive consciousness and releasing trauma-based constrictions from the bodymind.

This weekly 75 minute class will run for 10 consecutive weeks introducing students to the essential Realization Process practices.

We will explore the fundamental practices and principles of the Realization Process.  Each class will introduce a foundational RP practice, with room for questions and individual attention.  For beginners and anyone wanting to return to basics.

Led by Psychotherapist and Realization Process Teacher, Marijana Jozic will help guide you to inhabit all parts of your body to recover the deepest dimension of your being so that you can have a direct experience of your wholeness.

The realization process has the potential to reveal to you….

  • that you can feel more at home in your body

  • that you are already whole (that the embodiment of your wholeness is a matter of your accessibility/attunement to your Self)

  • that you belong (to yourself and to the world)

  • that your embodied existence relies on your courageous commitment to be present with your body in order to truly discover and make manifest the jewels hidden within.

Whether you are an experienced meditator or a novice—all are welcome!

A note on why this meditation style/class is “body-centered”:

Meditation is widely taught in North America as awareness/mind-based meditation practice (often called mindfulness) to help us cultivate attention, focus and inner peace. Although a powerful way to increase awareness—mindfulness based practices can often glide-over, or altogether ignore, the inner terrain of the body where the true, whole self is revealed and from which life can be experienced directly.

A fundamental difference between the Realization Process and typical mindfulness meditation is that we are not just observing what is happening within ourselves, we are actually there. We are not observing our hands from somewhere above ourselves, we experience ourselves as the internal space of our hands.  When applied to psychological healing, this is transformational.

The realization process gives us a direct experience of the most primary dimension of the self—fundamental consciousness. When practiced over time, one’s realization of this primary dimension/true self stabilizes so we can live there—gradually pervading more of our body-increasing our sense of depth and openness, and our sense of oneness with our environment.

After 13 years of dedicated mindfulness based meditation practice, Marijana discovered The Realization Process in 2020, founded by psychologist Dr. Judith Blackstone, which for the first time in her life, offered her a direct experience of fundamental consciousness inside her body—deepening her commitment to awakening her body and the fruition of her humanness. The process of awakening her body has been liberating her generous, compassionate, intuitive, powerful nature—qualities within herself that she realizes now are unconstructed that were somewhat hidden or obstructed —allowing her to live with an unwavering grounded presence, deeply connected to herself , others and life and with a sense of aliveness and purpose. Which is why she longs to help others realize the truth of who they really are!

Marijana completed her 18 month long certification in The Realization Process in the Spring of 2022.—guiding others through this profound process through online and in person meditation classes as well as in her one on one therapy sessions.

Marijana is currently enrolled in advanced training to become a Senior Realization Process Teacher.

As we open to the aliveness and space inside the body, we discover a dimension of the Self that has never been injured or broken - whole, free and connected to a unified consciousness that pervades our whole body and our whole environment.
